Painting Process

To begin the construction of the canvas I use medium weight stretcher bars that have a quarter round edge built into the outside edge. This is a durable support that resists warping and the raised edge keeps the canvas from touching the wood, which would create visible lines in the painting from the stretcher bars. I use a carpenter’s t-square to make sure all the corners are 90 degrees.
